Reviewing only the pie because that's all I had here and a hot cocoa (which tasted like a warm celebration yummmm).
I had the pumpkin pie with no whip (meant to order whip but I just spaced out) then the waitress accidentally gave me a pumpkin pie with whip instead of a pecan pie to go but that's okay bc I ate it this morning was insanely delicious.
Wish I had more time to explore the other pies here! Whoever's baking them, keep that individual on the payroll bc YUM! -

Went to village inn at late hours. Anahi was very nice and attentive. I got a custom breakfast with eggs, chorizo, and toast. I believe the server got confused and got me bacon instead, which honestly was a nice mistake. I ended up eating it all and it was all nice. Server brought out my wife's plate first with only my beans on a small plate and chorizo in another small plate, then later brought my eggs. When she asked if all was good I asked for toast again.

Good for late night /early morning breakfast. Coffee is great and I always ask for vanilla creamer. Ordered enchilada plate. Sauce is good but the stacked tortillas had almost no cheese. Had to go looking for it and just a pinch.

When I was stationed in Alaska in the early 00s, I ate a lot of Village Inn and I have fond memories as a result. Reindeer sausage, eggs, crispy but fluffy hashbrowns, etc. This was a real quality place back in Alaska and I loved it.
This one is pretty far from being comparable, though it wasn't bad really. The first thing I noticed is that several tables were dirty, but nobody was sitting at them and two staff members were at the front, doing nothing. Anyway, my table was clean and my server was a young man who was very courteous and attentive.
I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast because there was no reindeer sausage on this menu and my food came within a few minutes. The chicken fried steak was good! It had nice breading gravy, and they pounded the steak out thin and fried it perfectly. The eggs were well scrambled as well and provided no room for complaint. The hash browns, unfortunately, were cooked on the outside and basically raw/cold on the inside. MEGA BUMMER!
My waiter was very prompt with asking me what if I needed anything after my food came, but loses a point for assuming that I wanted grape jelly, instead of just bringing me a variety like all the other tables. Additionally, he didn't offer me a refill for my empty glass TWICE when he stopped by, I'm not mad, but you really shouldn't leave people with empty glasses at your table. That's a pretty basic serving rule.
Overall, this place is good for a cheap, decent breakfast. It's a few steps up from Denny's and that's okay. -

I use to work for the village inn company back in high school (2008). Came back in town for a baby shower & brought my partner to try it! EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! The buffalo chicken melt, breakfast enchiladas, and the nachos! Our see Leilani made our experience even better! Thank you for the amazing service and the nostalgia! Till next time!
